Kosovo Gilan Mayor Alban Hysen and his accompanying delegation visited Samsun Chamber of Commerce and Industry and met with the Chairman of the Board of Directors Salih Zeki Murzioğlu and the Speaker of the Assembly Haluk Akyüz. Stating that they want to develop cultural, commercial and economic relations with Samsun, Hysen said, “The city of Gilan, of which I am the president, is the fifth largest city in Kosovo. Our geographical location is very good. We have very good relations with Türkiye from the past. We want to further strengthen these relationships. We are a municipality that attaches great importance to education and economy and we have a young population. We reduced taxes to almost zero to bring investment to our city. Our request from you is to bring business people to our city and show them the opportunities there. "I invite business people from Samsun to invest through you," he said.
Murzioğlu: “We will work to improve cooperation”
During the visit where bilateral cooperation was discussed, Samsun CCI Chairman Salih Zeki Murzioğlu gave information about the city's economy, industry and export potential, as well as its prominent sectors. Murzioğlu also stated that they will do their best to improve relations and cooperation between the two countries. After the visit, Murzioğlu and Akyüz presented a souvenir to Mayor Hysen.

| Samsun EU Information Center, which continues its activities under the roof of Samsun CCI, organized a tree planting event within the framework of the afforestation campaign organized by the European Union Delegation to Turkey together with its local partners and aims to plant approximately 170 thousand saplings in 19 cities, including Samsun.

The event, which is part of the European Commission's global "Map My Tree" campaign, started on National Afforestation Day, celebrated on 11 November 2023. The event in Samsun was organized by Samsun EU Center, which continues its activities under the umbrella of Samsun Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Samsun CCI). In the event held with the participation of Samsun CCI employees and their families, saplings were planted in the afforestation area in Kadamut. The event, which included colorful images, ended with giving life water to the planted stone pine saplings.
Murzioğlu: “Our aim is to support afforestation efforts”
Samsun CCI Chairman of the Board of Directors Salih Zeki Murzioğlu, who attended the event, stated that one of the most important issues of the European Union (EU) agenda is the fight against climate change and increasing individual and social awareness on this issue, and said, "We organized such a beautiful and meaningful event on the occasion of Climate Diplomacy Week. It was even more meaningful that our sapling planting event also coincided with National Afforestation Day. As Samsun European Union Information Center, we planned to support the afforestation event with a thousand saplings in Samsun by supporting both activities. | Chairman of the Executive Board of Samsun Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) Salih Zeki Murzioğlu participated in the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day program organized in Cumhuriyet Square with reference to the 5th anniversary of the failed coup attempt by FETO.
The Program, which attracted great attention from the protocol members and citizens, began with a moment of silence and the Turkish National Anthem. Subsequently, Quran was chaunted in the name of all martyrs. Prayers were said for the martyrs in company with the Mufti of Samsun Seyfullah Çakır. Afterwards, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's speech was broadcast on a huge screen. A video compilation of July 15 footages was viewed. Then, protocol speeches were made.
