Salih Zeki Murzioğlu- TOBB Vice President and Chairman of Samsun TSO attended the Joint Council Meeting of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), held with the participation of Lütfi Elvan- Minister of Treasury and Finance.
Salih Zeki Murzioğlu, Chairman of Samsun Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TSO), attended the Joint Council Meeting of TOBB Chambers of Commerce and Industry, TOBB Chambers of Commerce, TOBB Chambers of Industry, TOBB Commodity Exchanges, and TOBB Chambers of Shipping. M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu- Chairman of TOBB stated that they paid great attention to the 7% growth recorded in the first quarter of the year as it shows that the support given to the private sector has an important impact, during the meeting attended by Lütfi Elvan-Treasury and Finance Minister. Hisarcıklıoğlu said that “We hope to achieve perhaps the highest quarterly growth figure in our history in the second quarter. Hisarcıklıoğlu said, "We think we will reach record levels in both industrial production and exports." Lütfi Elvan- Minister of Treasury and Finance said that “We think that in order to maintain strong growth, a decrease in credit rates, and inflation, stability in exchange rates should be ensured and we can achieve this as we have done in the past," he said. Stating that the meeting was very productive, Salih Zeki Murzioğlu-Chairman of Samsun TSO thanked Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu who has always been the voice of the business world and supported the expectations and demands of their community to be heard by government officials.

| Salih Zeki Murzioğlu- Chairman of Samsun CCI together with Cengiz Günay- Chairman of Tekirdağ TSO realized a congratulatory visit to Hasan Basri Kurt, who was assigned as the Chairman of KOSGEB.
Salih Zeki Murzioğlu- Chairman of Samsun Chamber of Commerce and Industry (STSO), Cengiz Günay- Chairman of Tekirdağ Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TTSO) visited Hasan Basri Kurt, who was assigned as Chairman of Small and Medium Enterprises Development and Support Administration (KOSGEB). Murzioğlu and Günay wished Kurt success in his new assignment during the visit, which took place in a very friendly atmosphere. During the visit, projects, fairs and sectors that will strengthen the country's economy were discussed on. Murzioğlu shared the demands with Hasan Basri Kurt on the expectations from the business world and said, “With the changes made in January in the Business Development Support Program, an arrangement was made that businesses could not benefit from the second support program because of the supports in the first support program. In this process, where we need support more than ever, it is requested that the new arrangement should be reinstated. Because with this arrangement, the companies that will participate in the fairs will be able to get support for participation for only one fair. However, this will be a major obstacle for SMEs to reach different markets. KOSGEB supports have vital importance for the exhibition sector, which has come to the point of closure completely during the pandemic period. Therefore, the amount of support should be increased if possible. In addition, our businesses operating in the education sector suffered great losses during this period. We expect the education sector to be included in the scope of KOSGEB supports. We also expect the services sector to be included in the micro-enterprise quick support program". Hasan Basri Kurt expressed his satisfaction with the visit and stated that the demands of the business world are important for them and that they will evaluate their demands. |

Murzioğlu: Crisis will turn into opportunity |

| Salih Zeki Murzioğlu-Chairman of the Board spoke during the visit of Oğuzhan Çamaş- Regional Manager of TÜYAP Samsun thus "World Fair Day" and stated that the fair organization industry was going through very difficult days due to the pandemic, and said, "I hope we will overcome the damage together caused by the loss of the industry, in solidarity. We will turn the crisis into an opportunity," he said.
Oğuzhan Çamaş- Regional Manager of TÜYAP Samsun visited Salih Zeki Murzioğlu-Chairman of Samsun Chamber of Commerce and Industry (STSO), who is also the Chairman of the Fairs Committee of Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), thus the "World Fairs Day". During the visit, Salih Zeki Murzioğlu-Chairman of Samsun TSO stated that Samsun has a fair culture from the past and said, “As we all know, Samsun hosted the first national fair of Turkey in 1963 with the decision of the Council of Ministers. Although the concept of this fair is different from today's, it has added vitality to the cultural and social environment of the region and made Samsun the junction point of the region. However, in the 80s, it, unfortunately, lost its old dynamism and was closed because of the conditions of the day. The absence of a fair was an important issue in the region and bringing a new fair to Samsun was on the agenda for many years. Murzioğlu took the initiative to bring a fair to the city and with the consortium that they established with institutions that support development, they brought a modular fair center with a highly prestigious and expandable concept for Samsun. |
